And pretty handy, too. The Launch 4 opens with a push button, recessed so that it is level with the flat of the handle. This is a safety feature and makes it harder for the knives to accidentally deploy. For left-handed use, press the blade-release/lock button with your index finger instead of your thumb.       Awesome little knife comes razor sharp and extremely snappy you better hold on to the knife when you deploy the blade. Very satisfied with this purchase. Definitely recommend getting this knife and worth the price tag hands down.

      This is my second knife from the launch series. Also have the launch 12. I really like the size of the 4, it is great as a small utility knife that basically disappears into your 5th pocket. As an auto it is "nonthreatening" and does not draw attention like the 12 with it's stiletto silhouette. For the value you can't get a better made in USA auto. The only thing that isn't great is the action on the button is only okay, but I suppose that is good against accidental deployments.
