4 Things that Define a Good Pocket Knife!

Posted by Paul on 15th Dec 2015

A good quality knife is indispensable like Spyderco. Whether you want it for opening boxes and packages, for hunting or for survival reasons, the benefits of carrying a pocket knife cannot be underestimated. Here are a few things that you should look for in a knife if you want optimum performance, safety and comfort:

Size:

Make sure the knife you carry is not too big. It should be big enough to be useful for your specific needs and small enough to accommodate in your pocket or belt pouch.

Steel:

The steel used in the blade should be of high quality and has a great edge-holding ability. A knife with poor quality blade steel is of total waste of money.

Handle:

The handle should offer a great grip and should feel comfortable in your hands. Look for a knife with full tang for greater control over the knife.

Sheath:

The sheath in the knife should be made up of either leather or polyester. A knife that is sharp but has a lousy sheath hardly serves the purpose.
