A new twist on the NATO mechanism.
I recently received one of the new Italian 11" OTF knives. Being a watch repairman and a long time automatic knife collector, I just had to see the inside of one of these knives. I was pleasantly surprised to see some well thought out improvements on the mechanism. The blade slides in a close tolerance channel that eliminates the rubbing of the blade edge on the inside channel wall, thus eliminating dulling the edge. Lock up is also much tighter than the average D/A OTF. In fact in couldn't be any tighter and function properly. The usual pivoting locking bars are replaced by two hardened steel rectangles that are activated by a new type of spring bar assembly. Beautifully simple and smooth functioning. Bravo to the engineers on this project, they really created a GREAT mechanism! Joe D.

Wow! Awesome knife.
This quite large OTF reminds me of the knife in the WW II spy thriller "Eye Of The Needle". It is sharp, blazing fast, both out and in. Solid construction, very good looking, very nice wooden scales on the grips, too.
