The Launch 4 opens with a push button, recessed so that it is level with the flat of the handle. This is a safety feature and makes it harder for the knives to accidentally deploy. For left-handed use, press the blade-release/lock button with your index finger instead of your thumb. This California Approved Box Cutter is Tiny, but Powerful . . .
This California Approved Box Cutter is Tiny, but Powerful. You can believe the 1.9" dimension. It is the same size the Box Cutters that I used when I was stocking groceries as a teenager, but without the replaceable single-edge razor blades. It is just as sharp, though! My main purpose for this knife is to do small, but precise, cutting jobs with hobbies, but also for opening mail and packages. It is an easy-to-carry knife for the pocket and will come in handy for many everyday tasks. It is very well constructed and has a powerful automatic action with a loud click that can be easily heard by others nearby. The blade is very slender and sharp. It comes in different colors, but I prefer the Black on Black. I highly recommend this as well as other Kershaw products. They are all well designed and ruggedly built.

Always wished for a no-nonsense watch pocket auto, it took a silly CA law to get it made? Great detail carver (if you remove the pocket clip, ouch!). Lightweight and durable, heirloom quality, I expect this knife should last at least a lifetime or two. Great price and prompt shipping. Thanks, Perry Knifeworks!

Excellent Knife!
The knife is exactly what I was looking for. It is small enough to clip inside the coin pocket of my jeans where a I prefer to carry my knife instead of my main pocket where it gets caught on keys and the such. It’s blade profile also has no concave sections like most Kershaw knives; making it mush easier to sharpen and hone. The lockup and spring have proven reliable over 3 months of regular use. Unfortunately I lost mine recently and now have to save up for a replacement. Great knife!
