The Launch 4 opens with a push button, recessed so that it is level with the flat of the handle. This is a safety feature and makes it harder for the knives to accidentally deploy. For left-handed use, press the blade-release/lock button with your index finger instead of your thumb. Great little edc
This is my first Kershaw blade. Fit and finish is spectacular! Also, this is my second auto. The action on this knife is Super smooth now. When I first received the knife the action was a little gritty. The blade was super sharp out of the box. I carry it everyday. Perry knife works was fantastic in fulfilling the order. Will do business again... Looking for a new pro-tech soon, and I'm coming back here for that purchase. Don't hesitate.. Buy it! Little autos are so cool.

Good but had damaged point
I'm a fan of kershaw and still am but unfortunately this launch 4 had a damaged tip. It didn't look used but it wasn't as it should have been. Kinda took the excitement away from receiving it. Knife came on time, packaged well, I think I just happen to get a bad one.
