Perry knife works is the best
Placed an order on Sunday night and they had it shipped the next day. It was at my house after 3 days! These guys are fast and have f Great prices. So far I’m impressed with the lightning elite. Better than the original lightning otf and about the same price. Can’t wait to do business with perry knifeworks again.

Sound Value for the Price
OK it may not compare with my Microtech Ultratech, but then again at $29.95 it's less than one-tenth the price and a perfectly reasonable budget OTF.(maybe even better than that: Time will tell). Pros: - I've fired it hundreds of time since it arrived, and it has never once failed to deploy forcefully and quickly. - Two-tone dagger blade is handsome, and even after hundreds of deployment / retraction cycles it shows zero evidence of rubbing on the handle opening. - Pretty much ambidextrous, since (non--relocatable) clip is fairly shallow and does not create a "hot spot" in either hand. - Fairly comfortable to hold, with textured sides and ribbing on edges / short sides. - Reasonably sharp blade edges out-of-the-box. - Unobtrusive with all-black handle, clip, sliding deployment button, and even mostly-black blade: definitely on the 'stealth' side (if you like that – I do). - Sliding deployment / retraction button is well shaped and action is very predictable as to just when in its sliding travel the blade will deploy / retract. - Deployment button requires firm but not uncomfortable pressure to actuate, and (as an additional benefit) is highly unlikely to accidently actuate when in the pocket, etc.). - Clip is mounted with three screws, so less susceptible to loosening / moving with use (unlike clips with only one or two screws). - Fit and finish, while not perfect, is quite good, especially considering the price point. No sharp corners or rough spots. In fact the entire handle is nicely chamfered / rounded at all edges and corners. - Includes free nice-quality black nylon carry case with belt attachment. - Great fun / fidget factor: must acknowledge that it's hard to keep your hands off it! Cons: - A bit heavy at 4.0 ounces. - A bit bulky at almost 4.75" handle length. - Ergonomics are pretty basic: it's essentially an elongated rectangular box, albeit with chamfered edges: not uncomfortable to hold, but not something that just "Melts into your hand," either. - No threaded clip-mounting holes on opposite side of handle for the clip screws (which would allow fully ambidextrous carry and handling). - Clip is not a "deep carry" style, so when in one's pocket the knife handle will project out of the pocket top by up to three-quarters of an inch. - No finger choil or thumb ramp / jimping, so so you won't be bearing down with the thumb and forefinger on the blade when cutting (but then again that's the norm with almost all double-edged blades). - Definitely some up-and-down + side-to-side ‘play’ in the blade when deployed (though truthfully, all OTF blades have at least a detectible bit of this). Unknowns: - Durability? Many report no issues even after carrying their Lightning OTFs for years but, having had it for only a few weeks, I cannot yet vouch for that. - Blade steel? Nowhere stated, though I have read elsewhere that it's 440C. If true, and considering the price of the knife, this is a solid budget steel choice (certainly much better than such junk as 420 / 440A / 440B./ "Surgical Stainless" / H1 / etc.). - Country of Origin? I have read "Taiwan," but no one seems absolutely certain where it is manufactured. Recommendation / Tip: Apply a drop of Rem Oil / Nano Oil (10 Weight) / CLP Break-Free / Etc. to area beneath sliding deployment button and to blade base (when blade is deployed) – to lubricate and promote smooth action of the knife. Conclusion: if you're looking for a competent budget--friendly, double-action OTF knife, this is really a bargain.
