Solid Knife - good value
I was considering a knife of this size, style and design and decided to go with this model because of my good impression of another knife of Mikov's...the Predator 241 auto. Also, I was on a tangent- looking to purchase blades that weren't manufactured in China. The knife itself is really good...nice. The handle is beefy for good grip and has moderate finger contours and small spaced-out circle-indentions for texture. The spine of the blade is thick almost the whole length of the blade almost up to the point. I think this is a called a flat, or scandi-grind or something similar but it is just the same as the other brands of this type of knife. Not sure but it could be full tang. Some of these designs are full, some are half. Still, it's pretty solid. The sheath has a slit system for a belt/strap - no clip on - and one of the nocks on the back in case you want to hang it on a screw or a button. I like the knife. I might ditch the sheath on day for another, but that's just me. The way this knife is built it is a small, sharp knife with good steel that is useful for small cutting tasks on soft materials yet it is so durable ruggedly built that if you had or wanted to you could use it for jobs and materials slighter bigger and harder of an intermediate size and this knife will stand up to harsh outdoors environments and be serviceable while doing it.
