Kershaw's Launch 1 automatic knife features CPM154 blade steel, a strong opening kick, and is made-in-the-USA at Kershaw’s Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility. The CPM154 powdered metallurgy blade steel has more uniform distribution of carbides—so it takes and holds an excellent edge. It also provides good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. One awesome automatic
When I first found the Kershaw Launch line, I absolutely fell in love. I've been an avid Kershaw knife buyer for years now. As of recently I've started a collection of knives that I rarely carry, or dont even carry at all. Every single model in the Launch line is worthy of being put in a display case, or being used for various purposes while its clipped to your pocket. This has awesome style, and of course holds true to the awesome craftsmanship that Kershaw is typically known for. I truly will purchase every single model that has been made in this series. While I'm finding a few have been discontinued, this is going to be quite the quest. One thing is, there are a couple that I feel the need to buy 2 of because I both want to carry one, and have one on display. I'm not a rich man, so this task will take some time... I'm just trying to give you a general idea of how awesome these automatics are. There are some models that I could one day own every color they come in. That is no exaggeration. I've also found this to be an amazing place to get them from. I've literally placed an order in the morning, and had tracking numbers showing it was actually dropped off that same day. These people are on the ball! I dont think I've found cheaper pricing anywhere.

Another awesome kershaw automatic
Bought this after buying the Launch 4 and falling in love. I had no idea kershaw made automatics. This one is alot bigger than the 1.8" blade, but it feels great in your hand. I cant say enough good things about this knife. The automatic action is snappy without being too crazy. I love the finish on it, and the build quality is amazing. Buy this if you've been eyeing it, you wont be disappointed. I'm literally planning on somehow buying every kershaw Launch in the series. These are amazing, and will really help me step my knife collection game up.
