      Only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the spring/slide apparatus has hesitated on me several times and has not locked into position which leaves you with an unrelieable feeling not knowing if it is going to work.

      Bought an imitation of this knife years ago at a local knife shop. Paid twice as much and no where near as solid. Spring is strong, feels like it will last forever.

      I as many others read multiple positive reviews about this knife.I called and asked if they gave military discount and they gave me 10% off.I was so pleased I ordered 2 OTF knives.As you know there are knockoffs but these are heavy and appear to be well finished with SUPERB blades.I do not recall the gentleman's name I spoke to but I received my order a full day faster than promised.Thank you and I will buy many more knives here.

      Everything was good except the belt clip was slightly loose because of a partially stripped out screw.

      I took a chance on one of these after reading the reviews, and from talking with Perry, he told me he sold ONLY the high-quality Taiwan-made Lightnings. I have had mine for about 10 days, and so far I'm very impressed. The blade has nice grind lines and a pretty satin finish, and it is SHARP. The blade was obviously heat-treated for it to take such a good edge. The mechanism hasn't failed once, the blade ejects with a nice, firm SNAP and has very little free play. Quality!! This is a substantial, heavy knife and it will not get lost in your pocket! The handle has a nice finish on it and it's comfortable in the hand. The deploy button is firm but smooth, and there's no fear of the knife deploying by accident in your pocket. If you want a great OTF and don't want to overspend, this Lightning IS your Huckleberry! I call it a true bargain.
