The real Lightning knife - No knock off
Perryknifework carries the real 8oz Lightning. Not the crappy 3oz units other places sell that give the Lightning a bad name. Great little knife. When people post about how their “Lightning” did not deploy or retract properly, its because they bought a fake. Make sure its made in Taiwan by Cutting Edge and weighs 8oz. Anything else will be garbage. Thanks Perry for carrying these.

tanto blade
this is my second lightning...first one was a plain blade....this one is a tanto...I like the plain bade better... not as heavy as the tanto version and snappier deployment...both knives are great...will purchase more...pleasure dealing with Perry Knife Works

WOW!
Wow, I couldn't be happier with this knife. Thank you PKW! I have another Lightning that weighs less, has the blemish on the clip side, thinner blade and the 2 mystery holes at the end. I thought it was the best version but boy was I wrong. I'm so impressed with the quality of this new one. You won't go wrong with this knife! I just bought another with skulls and can't wait to have it in my hand lol. 5 stars all day long.

My 3rd lightning
My first lightning (purchased elsewhere 3 years ago) was not great. Misfired and had an overly loud springy noise when deployed. Threw it in the drawer. My 2nd lightning (purchased elsewhere) lasted 2 years on the job with almost daily use until I lost it. I did snap the blade tip twice and had to repair it myself. This lightning beats both of those by a mile. You can tell they are using the newer mold at the manufacturer. ( It doesn't have the flaw on one side) It is heavier, it actuates harder than my last one and it is sharp out of the box. Crazy sharp. It misfired a few times when I got it, but after about 100 cycles, its broken in and deploys 100%. Break it in before you freak out and think you got a dud. You just need to get some wear on the moving parts. As far as I can tell, Perry is the only one selling this model. Everyone else is still selling old stock. This is a quality blade for work and doesn't break the bank. Microtechs are overpriced and they limit run blades like Nike Air Jordans in order to keep the demand high. Not a fan. Just my opinion. Some will argue against it. Whatever. If you like Apple, buy a microtech, If you like Windows, buy lightnings.

Well done, PKW!
There are a ton of sites offering this knife. Perry Knife Works went from online order to in my hands (halfway across the USA) in just about three days. Amazing customer service, in my opinion. Five stars for Perry Knife Works! The Lightning I'm currently holding appears to be the Taiwan-made version. The weight is there, the silver trigger is there, the "Cutting Edge" on the clip is there ... this feels like the real thing. I will be doing further business with PKW and will recommend them to my friends. It's heavier than I expected. The spring noise on retraction is noticeable. The blade is very substantial (thicker than my Benchmade or Kershaw folders), and although the steel is nothing to write home about, the edge is sufficient. This thing is a BEAST. Although I'd intended this as an EDC knife, it may be too big for the job. Guess I'll just have to order a UTX-85 from PKW for my next OTF! Well done, Perry Knife Works, and thank you!

Lightning Strikes Again! Tanto style
First of all I’d like to thank Perry Knife Works for fulfilling my order smoothly and professionally! Bought this Lightning Tanto blade to add to my collection of OTF’s. Rate it a 4 out of 5 due to feel the blade should be a bit longer. Overall its a great knife for the price so can’t complain!

Great bang for the buck
I got this knife to use as my edc and the blade on this knife is very sharp and strong. I haven't had any issues with the mechanics of the knife. it seems to work every time.
