Lightening OTF
The best of the sub $100 OTF, hands down. Smooth, flawless action. Little tiny bit of blade play, but great knife for the price!

Eh okay
I never expected a lot. And it’s hard to complain for the price but my example came with the paint already chipping off.

Lightening Red D/A OTF Automatic Knife
Was looking for ambidextrous OTF knife & saw the good reviews for the Lightening's. Action is very positive, so far 100% reliability. Nice blade, super sharp too. Grandson liked it so much I bought the Tanto blade version for him.

Lightning red D/A OTF automatic knife w/drop point blade
This knife, as well as the two Lightnings I already own, impress me. Yeah, I've heard all the negatives, such as the "twangy" sound they make, as well as a bit of blade play, but getting past that, they work, and continue to do so. So, the twang is something you get used to. What really stands out on the Lightnings are the blades. Lightning advertises these as 440C steel, and from the edge they can get, and hold, I'll go out on a limb and say they were properly heat-treated 440C. Meaning, they come straight from the box with a superb edge. (The blade machining is also really nice.) In fact, the worst knife cut I ever inflicted on myself was with one of my Lightnings. They arrive very, very SHARP right out of the box, so buyer beware. My advice is, get used to the 'twang' these make when they deploy and enjoy the Lightning knife for what it is...a true bargain.
