Hi Flyer, Sea Eagle !
I was at first reluctant to buy this, it seemed too good to be true and that always makes you hesitate, but I gave it a shot and very glad to have done so. Build quality is quite good, lockup is solid, opening by the flipper is very sound and has a decent detent as well. The blade arrived sharp, but could be sharper and now it is ;-) the steel is said to be a Sandvik steel of good quality, in sharpening it I got a sense that it seemed to have a good heat treat and took a very sharp edge. Clip works well, while the G10 on lay is smaller than the metal liners, it feels great in the hand, you feel a nice transition from metal onto the scales, just feels right and the guard area provides adequate protection. Overall an exceptional knife, since getting it, I will also look for the version with Carbon Fiber onlays, just to add to my small collection. I hope that Perrys Knife Works ends up getting that one in their line up soon.
